Emo And Bebo the unnecessary evils

Amidst the news that another young person has fallen to the evils of Emo and Bebo and commited suicide, i feel i must ask the question "How can the internet kill you?"






Sam Leeson, a 13 year old student fromTredworth, Gloucestershire, hanged himself in his bedroom apparently after suffering months of bullying online. Sam was said to be being bullied for his "Emo" appearance and taste in music, now i don't know about you but i was under the impression that emo was a trend of not caring what people thought of how you looked and sounded, also how sad have you got to be to insult someone you don't know ( I'm assuming he didn't know them, if he did its not bullying its grilling) on their appearance via the internet? The sources that i've read say that Sam wasn't bullied at school or in his social life but only on Bebo, I don't want to seem like an evil sinical heartless bastard but i think much less drastic measures could have been taken to avoid confrontation. Now i want you to know im not bloggin because of Sam himself rather due to the long list of young people taking there own lives for these same stupid reasons, now from what i've gathered the blame has been placed on the internets many networking websites i.e Myspace, Facebook and Bebo.

But there seems to be another common link to these 20 odd suicides that have occured this year, that common ingredient is "Emo" music. "Emo" music is just another word for depressing music, a lot of "i hate the world and the world hates me" all that bollocks, for all my life i've experienced the negative stigma linked with hip-hop and how it glamorises guns, drugs and sex ,but this new epidemic of children ,( that's right CHILDREN not young adults) taking there own lives while conveniently having some chemical romance pumping some negative bullshit through there ipod headphones seems to have to be kept on the hush hush.

All im saying is i would rather live in a world of 50 Cent fans swearing and smoking weed than in a world of tears, self hate and pity. What most people confuse with genius in the Emo Subcluture is really just an endless stream of complaints from a buch of middle class wankers. That's all i gotta say.
